So ends another year of eGames. The event which ran from Friday 30th October to November 1st .This year's expo was a great chance for gamers of all types and people in the industry to come together at the one venue and interact.
Some of the highlights included Ubisoft's Avatar based on the upcoming movie by director of Terminator 2 and Titanic, James Cameron, in which the audience had the chance to view and play on a JVC 3D TV. Having experienced it first hand, I was really impressed not only did it look amazing it gave us a glimpse of what we have to look forward to in the future. Other titles on offer from Ubisoft were Splinter Cell: Conviction and Assassins Creed 2.
Our good friend Andrew Owen was hosting the eSports event which had players from all corners of the globe competing in such titles as Hawx and Halo 3 displayed with projectors on giant screens. Impressive were the Australian team, I hope to never have to encounter them online because I wouldn't stand a chance.
On the Sunday Thumbpad alongside Level 3, were lucky enough to present a live 30 minute podcast from the main stage. It was great fun to get the chance to interact with an audience and I know the team is looking forward to doing more so in the future. I huge thank you for the support from those who were able to make it.
